Preeta Rao (born in May) is an Indian model. She has a Hindu name which means Love. Rao hails form the Chitrapur Saraswat Bhramin community. Her roots can be traced to Mangalore.
Born in and educated in Mumbai she studied in "Convent Girls" School Mumbai. Rao moved on to do her graduation from Sophia College in Mumbai majoring in History. Preeta Rao also studied "Advertising" in college and was a topper in her class.
She is the sister of Bollywood star Amrita Rao. Rao turned a Vegetarian in school along with her sister Amrita.
